Join me on this Spring Bird Photography Workshop as we capture breeding Birds in full song.
As Spring arrives, various bird species begin to proclaim their territories through the power of song providing wonderful opportunities for wildlife photography. Morning is the best time for bird song so we start at sunrise to maximise our chances of good action and good light. Using my many years of knowledge of local sites in West Yorkshire, we will target Reed Bunting, Sedge Warbler and Reed Warbler along with Linnet, Blackbird and Wren. This is also a fabulous time for breeding Ducks, Swans and Grebes – with plenty of birds pairing up for the breeding season. This workshop is limited to just 3 clients.
We’ll work with a range of techniques using shutter speeds and apertures, and choose our viewpoints carefully to create bird photos with impact. This workshop is about taking our time, using field-craft, watching and learning behaviour – and coming away with quality images. Ideally you’ll need a lens equivalent to at least 400mm; a tripod is not essential but is highly advised as it allows you to slow down and concentrate fully on capturing bird behaviour.
These Spring Birds Photography Courses in Yorkshire can also be booked on a One to One basis or purchased as a Gift Voucher
